During my study at Delft University of Technology in Holland (electronics, 1974) I worked at the Quality Department of a Dutch ITT subsidiary, just when Philip Crosby was Quality boss of ITT. During my military service, I had the opportunity to design computers for the armed forces. At Philips Electronics I advised customers how to use microprocessor and communications chips in their products. I developed the 4-day "Microcomputer Systems Design" course for Philips and lectured this course for several years. In 1980 I started "Malotaux - Electronic Systems Design", an engineering consultancy firm, where we designed electronics and software for in the products of our customers. There the experience with first-time-right, zero-defects and specification and inspection processes was built and cultivated. In 1998 I started "N R Malotaux - Consultancy" as an independent consultant to teach outsourcers as well as developers how to "optimise the development process", especially for electronics and software development.
Nowadays I am a Project Coach, teaching and coaching R&D, software and systems engineering projects to achieve Quality On Time. Quality On Time is short for delivering the right product, within the time and budget agreed, with no excuses, in a pleasant way for all involved, including the developers.

Teaching and coaching are based on more than 30 years experience in research, hardware, software and systems engineering, and include:
Based on these techniques, researchers, developers and their management learn in a very short period of time keeping focus on what is really important, continuously evaluating What should be done now, in which order, to which level of detail for this moment. Using these proven techniques, projects deliver routinely the right results, within time and within budget.
